If you did not register a SIP account, go to phone.turbocat.net and register a new account. We will send you a password. Check your email and login on phone.turbocat.net. Click My Settings and look for Username and SIP-Password.

Download X-Lite from www.counterpath.com.

After downloading and installing Xlite will show up.

Choose SIP Account Settings to open the accunts window.

Click Add and enter your account data.

Enter the values from your SIP account. Display Name is transferred if you call another phone on our network. Username is identical to Authorization user name

Change the Topology like show in the picture below. If you have problems try changing the settings for IP address. Press ok and go back to the main menu.

From the main menu, select Options Click on Advanced and select Audio Codecs. If you have a very fast internet connection you may want to enable the G711 codecs. Otherwise just use iLBC and GSM

Unfortunately, X-lite is not working with Asterisk. If you want to use iLBC you have to edit the Advanced Options. To access that window enter ***7469 and press the green dail button. The following window will show up.

To find the right setting, enter ilbc:pay and click Apply Filter. Now change the value to 97. Close the window and save the settings. Restart X-Lite.

The phone should register now. Try calling our Echo test on 10000. If that works and you hear yourself the setup is done. Have fun! Now you can call out.
